Event Ideas

Hi all,
How about some ideas for events we could do?
And I'll start us off. ( this'll give Madnis a heap of work to do)
The boat race was fun today... How about a kind of triathalon.
A boat race to an opposite shore, a run to spot, collect an item ( say an apple).
Then a minecart ride back to a finish line with the apple as proof of completion.
Maybe non pvp so it's not so unfair. Jail time for those that don't comply.
Or a faction race where the apple is the baton for each point.

...... Well I'd like to see you come up with a better idea.

For the event "Am I smart", Maybe other topics but maths would be better. Examples include, Chemistry, Simpsons Characters, Tv Shows, Riddles, "copy" what you type, etc.

Building event. Better to be in a NON-PVP area. Give everyone the same amount of materials In a chest and make them build something. This can show the true creativeness of people within the server.

My favourite "Drop event". Just randomly call everyone to spawn and an admin uses fly and tosses materials such as diamond/gold/iron blocks and make people go crazy as they all fight over the stuff.

how about a labyrinth event where the first one to get out of a labyrinth alive wins

" Dont touch the lava"

Best to have about 5+ people play this to make it more interesting.

There are platforms surrounded by lava and the goal is to be the last one remaining. To win, you need to make sure everyone else falls into the lava. No tools or anything are alloud, just pushing and you are to continuely jump to platforms trying not to stop or camp on that one platform.

The more advanced way is to redstone these platforms. and from the control desk, we can make the platforms dissapear into the lava.

Fish in a Barrel
One faction (or a group) is picked by the attending admin. Said group is given bows and arrows and told to hold until later notice. Everyone else is put in a sealed room and has to dodge the incoming barrage. The last man standing in the arena wins, and is cycled into the bow and arrow team, which is mixed up so everyone gets a shot.

Marksman
People are placed atop narrow podiums and shoot at one another. Last man standing wins.

Tetris
Players are crammed into a tall, long single block wide arena. The admin running the event flies around at the top of the arena randomly dropping gravel (or sand) into the 'arena', and players have to avoid being crushed by the sand as well as make their way to the top as the arena slowly fills. First to the top or last survivor wins.

The Gauntlet
LET ME HAVE ACCESS TO UNLIMITED REDSTONE AND PISTONS AND I WILL MAKE YOU A GLORIOUS DUNGEON OF DEATH WHICH PEOPLE CAN('t) GET THROUGH FOR FUN AND STUFF. Srsly. Traps errywhere.

David and Goliath
Another arena event. Chuck everyone in with giants. Hilarity (and death) ensues. He who karks it last wins. He who survives and pwnz all the giants gets an extra level of girth and length to their e-peen.

Make a big ol' wheat field. Players line up then cut up all the wheat. Whoever harvests most, wins! First prize gets a crap load of wheat, plus regular prizes. Second and third get regular "lol u suck but not as much as those losers over there lol" prizes.

Block Pictionary
Teams are divided up and are told a specific word. They then have to, with blocks, build something hinting at what the word may be. Everyone else then has to guess what the other teams' words are. Points are awarded to those who guess correctly, as well as the block artists. Points are taken away if the artist has to give additional hints after the allocated time is up.
